Information:
In order to fly your drone under the FAA's Small UAS Rule (Part 107), you must obtain a Remote Pilot Certificate from the FAA. This certificate demonstrates that you understand the regulations, operating requirements, and procedures.
Course Details:
This course is designed to provide the student with the knowledge required to pass the FAA administered 107 knowledge exam and attain the professional certification of Remote Pilot In Command.
This course will also provide first responders information on the use of drones at emergency situations and how to develop a drone program.
Each student will be provided hands on flight time and emergency simulations.
NOTE:The FAA pilot test is not provided in this course. This course provides and prepares you to take the FAA Part 107 test. After this course you will need to take the test at an FAA 107 testing facility.
Duration: 32 hrs (classes are a normally a maximum of 8 hrs per day class time)
Prerequisites: none
Certification: FMC Certificate that meets (NFPA) National Fire Protection Association 2400 and (ASTM) American Society of Testing and Materials F38 standards.
