The Command and General Staff Course is aimed at those individuals who have a function as a primary responsibility during the first operational period. Command and General Staff is a 36 hour course designed to meet the requirements of all type comman |
Course Details: |
The course will provide the students with the skills and knowledge that will enable them to perform on type 2 incidents in a command or general staff position.
Students attending this course will be broken up in to teams to encourage team development by stages throughout the course. In this class the student will: 1. Actively participate and fulfill
functional and team responsibilities
in the planning process. 2. Fulfill individual and team
responsibilities in the overall management
of an incident. 3. Complete the required products
(Incident Action Plan, Incident Status Summary, Media Release, and Cost Summary Estimate.
4. Present an operational period
briefing. |
Duration: 36 hrs (classes are a normally a maximum of 8 hrs per day class time) |
Prerequisites: None, Suggested completion of all prerequisite experience and course work to be qualified as an Incident Commander Type 2 (ICT2) or any Command/General Staff position. |
