Weed Abatement Program

Fire Management Consultant Fuels Management Division manages a proactive Weed Abatement Program. Each spring Fire Departments notify owners of vacant parcels, and businesses requiring proper firebreaks. If property owners choose not to comply by a predetermined date, the Fire Departments will perform the necessary weed abatement by using a contractor. A bill will be sent to the property owner, which includes the cost of the weed abatement service plus administrative fees. These fees are usually much higher than what we would charge for the same service.

We provide weed abatement and flammable fuels removal through our weed abatement program. Discounts are given for group services and business.
